Mining is a long-cycle industry. How far a mine goes depends on the stability and professionalism of the team behind it.

Professionalism grounded in data

Mining leaves no room for intuition. Geological interpretation, process design and investment decisions must rest on samples, codes and peer review. Where confidence is lacking, we would rather drill another programme of holes than write the assumption into a feasibility study.

Hiring that takes root locally

Kazakhstani nationals have long made up more than 90% of our workforce, and key positions are filled by developing and promoting local people. We run vocational training with neighbouring communities so that the benefits of a mine reach the people who live beside it first.

Bilingual cross-border working

Management and technical teams work bilingually, connecting Chinese engineering capability and equipment with Kazakhstan's resource endowment and regulatory framework, and removing the communication losses that so often undermine cross-border projects.

Safety first, experience passed on

Safety performance carries a veto over everything else. Mentoring, job rotation and secondment training turn experience into written standards, so that it stays with the organisation rather than with one individual.
